Is the DPP already mandatory for my clothes or furniture?
Not yet with an exact date: the ESPR is in force and textiles are a priority group, but the delegated act with the concrete requirements is expected around 2027, with realistic enforceability around 2028. The advantage of starting now is arriving with your data ready and already answering the retailers who ask for it.
Does this replace a consultancy or an enterprise system?
For a textile, footwear or furniture SME it covers the essentials: structured record, QR and checklist. It doesn't aim to replace large manufacturers' ERP/PLM integrations. It's a self-service, category-specific tool so the price stays low.
Is the passport I generate legally valid?
It's an educational preview based on the ESPR framework and the available information on the upcoming textile delegated act. It's not a legal certificate or an official registry: it prepares your data for when the central EU registry is operational.
